Start with the Stablecoins You Already Hold
Avoid adding a conversion just to reach a familiar ticker. First check the actual asset and network of your existing balance.
Paying with USDT
The USDT to ARB route on arbswap.net accepts payment through Ethereum, TRON, Solana, TON, Avalanche C-Chain, Aptos, NEAR or Polkadot Asset Hub. Choose the network where your USDt is held before generating payment instructions.
Do not assume that a USDT0 balance or a token on another chain is the same supported deposit. A matching dollar symbol cannot establish compatibility with the selected order.
Paying with USDC
The USDC to ARB route accepts Circle-issued USDC through Ethereum, Arbitrum One, Base, Solana, Avalanche C-Chain, Polygon PoS, OP Mainnet or Sui. Select the sending network and verify the token version.
USDC.e and other bridged representations must not be treated as the selected Circle-issued token. Check the issuer’s contract information and the wallet’s token details if the label is ambiguous.
Compare the Complete Cost of Paying
The exchange result and the cost of reaching the deposit address are different parts of the decision. A transfer on one network can be less suitable even when the displayed exchange percentage is the same.
| Comparison item | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Spendable stablecoin amount | An exchange withdrawal charge can reduce what reaches the order |
| Sending-wallet network fee | Usually paid separately in the chain’s fee asset for an ordinary self-custody transfer |
| Service charge and quote mode | Determines which calculation you are comparing |
| Payout network cost and net ARB | Shows the result after the receiving transfer cost |
| An extra move to another chain | Adds its own cost, timing and compatibility conditions |
Use the crypto-funded ARB buying guide to follow the full purchase. Do not compare a pre-fee market conversion from one site with a net payable order from another.
Match the Exact Token and Network
The stablecoin network is the payment side of this purchase. The resulting ARB arrives on Arbitrum One, regardless of which supported stablecoin payment network you select.
Your wallet can need a separate fee balance to send a stablecoin. An adequate USDT or USDC amount does not necessarily mean the account has the ETH, TRX, SOL or other fee asset required by that network’s ordinary transfer process.
After receiving the purchase, ARB and its later gas balance remain different assets. The ARB versus ETH explanation helps separate the token you bought from the asset needed for an ordinary outgoing transaction.
Use the Same Inputs for a Fair Comparison
Prepare two calculations without paying either order. Match the spending value and rate mode, account for the sending cost, then compare the net ARB amounts rather than the number of intermediate steps advertised.
If one route requires an extra stablecoin conversion or network transfer, include it before choosing. If you already hold both supported versions, compare their current executable results; neither ticker guarantees that it will always be the cheaper way to buy.
