How an ARB Exchange Works

An exchange on arbswap.net starts with what you want to receive. Choose ARB or one of its supported counterpart assets, review the calculation, and use the payment details created for that order.

You do not need a trading account. Save the private order link: it opens your payment instructions and shows the exchange’s progress.

Build the Order Around the Result You Need

Select the sending asset, receiving asset and amount. For USDT or USDC, also choose the network on the stablecoin side; ARB deposits and payouts use Arbitrum One.

Enter a compatible receiving address and any additional details the recipient requires. The calculation shows the service charge, payout network cost and net receiving amount before you pay. Your sending wallet’s own transfer fee is separate.

Choose a quote mode:

  • Fixed: the rate is reserved for 14 minutes from order creation. The exact deposit must be included on-chain and detected at the order address before expiry. Once that condition is met, waiting for the remaining required confirmations does not by itself cancel the reservation.
  • Floating: the displayed result is an estimate. The conversion rate is set when exchange processing begins after the required deposit confirmations.

Copy the payment instructions from this order rather than a previous exchange. Review the final transfer preview in the sending wallet before signing.

What Happens After You Pay

The order separates a detected payment from a confirmed deposit and an outgoing payout. Each stage answers a different question about where your exchange stands.

  1. Created: the order has its own calculation and payment details.

  2. Awaiting payment: the service is waiting for the specified deposit.

  3. Confirming deposit: a payment has been detected and is awaiting the confirmations shown in the order.

  4. Exchanging: the confirmed deposit is being converted.

  5. Payout sent: the receiving transaction has been broadcast; its hash is available.

  6. Completed: the order has reached its completed state. A hosted recipient can still apply its own internal crediting rules.

Standard processing targets payout broadcast within 4–16 minutes after the required deposit confirmations. This interval excludes the initial payment wait, additional review, route interruptions and a receiving platform’s own crediting time.

Read the Status Before Taking Another Action

Use the transaction hash to check a submitted transfer on its actual network. An exchange withdrawal request or a wallet’s “sent” notification does not alone prove the deposit has reached the required stage.

For an ARB balance that has not appeared after a withdrawal, follow the ARB withdrawal troubleshooting guide. Locate the first payment before trying a second one.

When Payment Does Not Match the Order

A late, smaller, larger or otherwise mismatched deposit pauses automatic execution. We establish what arrived, then offer an agreed revised calculation or an applicable refund after the necessary checks.

A revised quote requires your agreement. A wrong-chain transfer is a separate recovery issue and cannot be treated as an ordinary correctly funded order.

An order can also enter review. The transaction review policy explains the information that may be needed and the possible outcomes.

Cancellation, Refunds and Help

You can leave an unpaid order without funding it. Once funds have been sent, contact support promptly; stopping a conversion that has already entered execution is not guaranteed.

An approved refund of an unexecuted deposit returns the sending asset, less the actual refund network cost and without a separate service penalty. We target refund broadcast within 36 hours after approval and verification of the refund address. Any necessary review must be resolved first.

Use order support with the order ID and transaction hash. The exchange risk information explains which outcomes depend on a blockchain or another wallet provider.
